Felice McClendon
Felice calls herself “A Special Needs Mom on a Mission.” One of her sons has both Autism and Down’s Syndrome. When she’s not advocating for her own child, she’s busy advocating for others. Felice not only has a fulltime job as Communications Director for the City of St. Louis Treasurer’s Office but she serves on a total of 5 boards: Productive Living Board serving families in 4 Counties in Missouri with developmental disabilities, Washington University St. Louis CAB- Community Advisory Board, National CAB for Health Equity managed by the University of Florida, Cure Violence STL, and now the As You Are Parent Advocacy Team. Felice wants to serve on the Parent Advocacy Team so she can be there for other parents since she knows what it’s like to go through not just one life changing diagnosis, but two.
