As You Are is seeking Physicians who are motivated to provide high quality, patient and family-centered care in a virtual care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in autism and other behavioral health and developmental disorders. We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving pediatric health outcomes, and eager to learn and develop new skills using novel diagnostic approaches for autism via technology.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Complete additional training, certification and licensure to assist in providing excellent, evidence-based autism diagnostic assessments through a virtual medicine video platform
  • Utilize innovative technology solutions that assist in the clinical decision making process and provide feedback to ensure continuous quality improvement of both patient and physician experience
  • Work collaboratively with like-minded physicians and access consultations and support as needed
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education seminars to enhance and broaden your skill sets directly related to the As You Are mission
  • Thoughtfully guide families to the best therapeutic options with the aid of support staff and care coordinators to assist with non-clinical duties

Work Environment and Hazards

This position requires sitting for extended amounts of time with a majority of the tasks requiring typing at a computer station. This is a remote position. Remote employees will provide, at their expense, a secure, dedicated work area and are responsible for maintaining their work area in a safe, secure, and nonhazardous condition at all times

Physical Demands:

This position is mainly a stationary position involving sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • BC/BE in Pediatrics, Family Medicine or Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics
  • Must be Licensed to practice in one of the following states: AL, FL, GA, KY, NJ, PA, OH, TX, VA, NY or CA
  • Virtual care experience preferred
  • Willingness to get licensed in additional states, with assistance, preferred

In this role the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing diagnostic evaluations, within our As You Are virtual diagnostic clinic, for patients to inform treatment recommendations. The SLP will assess children ages 16 months to 10 years old for potential speech and communication disorders and develop unique and comprehensive intervention recommendations.This role will partner with As You Are Pediatricians to provide comprehensive evaluation services for children and families. Additional responsibilities include completing administrative tasks including documenting billing information, keeping accurate records of evaluations and associated patient notes, and working collaboratively with other clinical staff and service providers at As You Are to provide high quality care to patients.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administer speech and language evaluations
  • Develop comprehensive clinical reports depicting the results of the assessment for referring physicians, clinicians and patient families
  • Provide high quality clinical care, including accurate diagnoses, identifying areas of speech and communication challenges, and comprehensive intervention recommendations
  • Provide compassionate care and maintain good rapport with patient families
  • Develop detailed speech and language treatment goals and objectives
  • Determine Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs, strategies and systems for each individual client
  • Integrate AAC strategies and systems into screenings, assessments and treatment programs as applicable
  • Create necessary materials to support a variety of communicative needs
  • Other duties to be assigned as needed

The purpose of this position is to create an exceptional experience for all individuals accessing Quadrant’s service lines focused on diagnosing autism. Specifically, persons in the position provide support for our virtual care network, As You Are, in the areas of initial frontline communication via inbound and outbound calls, emails, chat and text messages from patients, parents/caregivers, providers, and provider liaisons.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

● Provide superior customer service support to patients, caregivers, health care professionals, consumers, and payers contacting the Support Team center

● Assist callers with all inquiries related to insurance eligibility, coverage status, billing and payments, referral resources, scheduling / rescheduling, troubleshooting and assisting in virtual appointment login, and other administrative processes and procedures

● Ability to support inbound and outbound communication and inquiries

● Utilize and document interactions in applicable EHR/EMR/CRM technology

● Perform quality control checks of all information entered

● Ensure achievement of quality control metrics through collaboration with the Quality department

● Maintain working knowledge of organization guidelines, SOPs, FAQs, and current best practices for ASD

● Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

● Two years of experience within a call center and/or healthcare-related setting; equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered

● Proficient in applicable computer software, i.e., Google Suite, athenaNet, Zendesk, and RingCentral

● Experience with virtual care patient customer support

● Preferred, but not required: Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal)
