The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be an integral member of the senior leadership team and will be the source of day-to-day operational oversight and management of a large virtual diagnostics clinic. The COO will experience a meaningful opportunity where the care provided to patients and families truly changes and transforms the trajectory of their lives. Responsibilities will include providing the operational and strategic leadership necessary to deliver high-value care within our virtual medical practice, As You Are. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will act as a base source of information and decision making for the entity. Operational oversight includes: Continued build out of integrated systems, processes, clinical and administrative teams to serve our mission of supporting families and children seeking assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

  • Evaluate and continually improve current practice operations, policies, and processes
  • Perform daily analysis of performance by sourcing and independently interpreting raw data, including data associated with clinical services, revenue cycle management and patient throughput, to ensure the organization is performing to projections
  • Responsible for setting meaningful financial projections and KPIs for all functional areas of the As You Are business, and monitoring these metrics weekly to deliver on all clinical, quality, operational, and financial goals

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working in an innovative or startup environment, or experience managing virtual care networks strongly preferred
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership accomplishments in the overall improvement of financial and operational performance of an organization
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare with progressive leadership roles in behavioral health, pediatric, or family care preferred

The Payor Enrollment Specialist will accomplish the following functions for billable employed physicians/ clinicians of QVC (Quadrant Virtual Care) and FBH (Frazier Behavioral Health). This position is primarily responsible for initiating and maintaining state and commercial payor credentialing of groups and physicians/clinicians in all states where QVC practices. This individual will work closely with provider credentialing and licensing to effectively navigate a variety of complex state and/or federal policies and requirements, which is critical to the operation of our medical and behavioral health service practice(s).

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Enters practitioner information into enrollment databases and ensures that the information in the databases is current and accurate.
  • Regularly reviews CAQH records and verifies that all pertinent elements are captured in the databases and that it matches what is captured in the Credentialing database.
  • Prepares initial and/or re-enrollment application packets, on behalf of the practitioner, for those payers who require a paper enrollment application.
  • Ensures the enrollment packets are appropriately signed, complete and accurate, and submitted to the payer with necessary attachments.
  • Coordinates re-enrollment dates and sends out application packets for all practitioners who require re-enrollment.
  • Communicates with various payers, practitioners, and leadership regarding the status of enrollments on an ongoing basis as the primary contact for all enrollment issues.
  • Will communicate with Managed Care on an ongoing basis as to the status of payer contracts and other various enrollment issues.

In this role the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing diagnostic evaluations, within our As You Are virtual diagnostic clinic, for patients to inform treatment recommendations. The SLP will assess children ages 16 months to 10 years old for potential speech and communication disorders and develop unique and comprehensive intervention recommendations.This role will partner with As You Are Pediatricians to provide comprehensive evaluation services for children and families. Additional responsibilities include completing administrative tasks including documenting billing information, keeping accurate records of evaluations and associated patient notes, and working collaboratively with other clinical staff and service providers at As You Are to provide high quality care to patients.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administer speech and language evaluations
  • Develop comprehensive clinical reports depicting the results of the assessment for referring physicians, clinicians and patient families
  • Provide high quality clinical care, including accurate diagnoses, identifying areas of speech and communication challenges, and comprehensive intervention recommendations
  • Provide compassionate care and maintain good rapport with patient families
  • Develop detailed speech and language treatment goals and objectives
  • Determine Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs, strategies and systems for each individual client
  • Integrate AAC strategies and systems into screenings, assessments and treatment programs as applicable

We are seeking a dedicated Care Coordinator Supervisor with demonstrated ability to lead a team of compassionate and motivated people to link children and their families to the appropriate interventions and resources that drive optimal health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in autism and other behavioral and developmental disorders, along with strong interpersonal skills, compassion and empathy.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise a team that provides care coordination services for families with the goal of improving the diagnostic timeline and subsequently increase access to therapeutic interventions, ultimately leading to positive experiences for families and improved health outcomes.
  • Conduct direct patient/family appointments and manage your own caseload of Care Coordination appointments. Direct Care Coordination appointments should be 40% on average and up to 50% working time each week.
  • Work closely with the Director of Care Coordination to provide insight and expertise regarding the care coordination program.
  • Have clear and definitive understanding of the Care Coordination Dept goals and positively support the team in achieving primary goals of: providing quality care to patients, working efficiently on billable activities and reducing time spent on non-billable tasks for our Care Coordinators.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of internal and external training regarding professionally relevant topics.
  • Collect and analyze reports regarding a variety of topics including quarterly performance and day to day operations.
  • Conduct Direct Care Coordination appointments ie: Consult with families to conduct needs assessment, treatment initiation and reassessment services.
  • Facilitate and maintain relationships with outside centers (e.g., therapy or education centers).
  • Educate families, team members, and others about autism spectrum disorder and the therapy services provided in the U.S. (e.g., ABA, OT/PT, ST).
  • Develop individualized care plans that include coordination with local therapy facilities.
  • Monitor patient progress and ensure all needs have been met.
  • Maintain documentation of all patient encounters and complete reporting requirements according to organization standards.
  • Support fellow team members with operational and clinical questions surrounding care coordination services.
  • Manage clinical practice inbox, orders and referrals placed by pediatricians.
  • Assist pediatricians in records requests and communication with patient’s caregivers as needed.
  • Assist in obtaining authorization for services as needed.

  • A deep understanding of the model for autism diagnostic and treatment services in the U.S., including the variety of treatment services provided to individuals with autism (e.g., ABA, OT/PT, ST)
  • Basic understanding of pediatric behavioral and developmental disorders including ADHD, developmental disorder of speech and language, developmental disorder of motor function, fine motor deficits, gross motor deficits
  • Basic understanding of insurance policies and coverage with a willingness to expand on knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy

We are seeking Physicians who are motivated to provide high quality, patient and family-centered care in a virtual care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in autism and other behavioral health and developmental disorders. We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving pediatric health outcomes, and eager to learn and develop new skills using novel diagnostic approaches for autism via technology.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Complete additional training, certification and licensure to assist in providing excellent, evidence-based autism diagnostic assessments through a virtual medicine video platform.
  • Utilize innovative technology solutions that assist in the clinical decision making process and provide feedback to ensure continuous quality improvement of both patient and physician experience.
  • Work collaboratively with like-minded physicians and access consultations and support as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education seminars to enhance and broaden your skill sets directly related to the As You Are mission.
  • Thoughtfully guide families to the best therapeutic options with the aid of support staff and care coordinators to assist with non-clinical duties.

Work Environments and Hazards

This position requires sitting for extended amounts of time with a majority of the tasks requiring typing at a computer station. This is a remote position. Remote employees will provide, at their expense, a secure, dedicated work area and are responsible for maintaining their work area in a safe, secure, and nonhazardous condition at all times.

Physical Demands

This position is mainly a stationary position involving sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified MD or DO
  • BC/BE in Pediatrics or Family Medicine
  • Current State licensure in at least one or more states is required prior to employment
  • Virtual care experience preferred
  • Willingness to get licensed in additional states with company provided assitance preferred
  • Must be willing to work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday
  • Must be fluent in Spanish
