Patient Referral Process

At As You Are, we recognize that every child has a medical home, which means many service providers can become aware of children in need of a diagnostic evaluation. Whether you provide medical, behavioral, language or educational services, you are welcome to use one of the journeys below to refer a child who is in need of As You Are services.

We know families prefer using their mobile device to schedule with As You Are, so we created the journeys below to make the referral process seamless!


Text to Schedule
Families can text the word: “BOOK” to BeSeen (237336) to schedule an appointment conveniently from their mobile device.

To connect your organization to your patients, we suggest using one of our unique practice codes (e.g. AYA1234) that a parent can enter as a part of our mobile scheduling journey. Just click the link below to get a code.

Using Your Unique Code
Your unique practice code can be used in a variety of other ways to help make things easier for your patients or students. We’ve all adopted scanning barcodes for ease of accessing information. Now, you can receive a QR code linked to your practice or organization. Families can simply scan with a mobile device and get started.

This QR code can be placed on a website, sent via email or printed on other materials that can be made visible in your office!

If your office prefers to manually complete a referral for each patient, you can do so by clicking the button below. Upon submission the family will receive an email with instructions.

Don’t see your health insurance provider listed? Don’t get discouraged! We work with commercial insurance plans, TRICARE, traditional state Medicaid plans and managed care partners. We are constantly expanding our relationships as we grow. And, as a part of our process, our support team will review a child’s insurance benefits with their parent or guardian before the first appointment.
