Q: What is your connection to our mission?

A: Throughout my career, I have enjoyed working with families. I am connected to the As You Are mission through the love of wanting to help families get the services they need for their children. Every child is different, and every child has different needs. Being able to help families locally with resources is fulfilling. I am also able to educate myself on other resources in different parts of the states to help families and find resources they need.

Q: Why do you love helping children?

A: Children are strong and resilient. When working one-on-one with a child, you can help them reach their goals. Over my career, I have loved seeing children reach their goals, whether they are big or small.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I enjoy reading a good thriller book or a mystery book. I also enjoy photography!

Q: What (or who) inspires you?

A: As a new mom my son inspires me everyday. It is a daily reminder of how important early child development can be and why our work at As You Are is essential to families.

Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?

A: I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. All of my family is still here locally. I am an aunt to two wonderful nephews and one beautiful niece. Back in 2016, my husband and I brought home a beautiful Labradoodle into our lives. His name is Cooper, and he is the sweetest dog in the world. He loves anyone who gives him blueberries, and bananas or gives him a delicious T-bone steak.
