A: There is no doubt that diagnosing autism early and initiating support services as soon as possible significantly improves outcomes for affected children. It’s remarkable that As You Are is able to help children get evaluated sooner so that precious time isn’t lost while awaiting in-person evaluations, which can often take months to obtain.

Q: Why do you love helping children?

A: Kids are curious, creative, and full of life. Their unique way of looking at the world is refreshing and inspiring. Kids remind me to appreciate the simple things and give me hope for a better future.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: Swimming, cooking, traveling, crossword puzzles, and karaoke.

Q: What (or who) inspires you?

A: My mom has always been my inspiration – an amazing mother, wife, daughter, friend, and physician. I feel so blessed to have her in my life.

Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?

A: I am fortunate to have a large and loving family, including my parents, three siblings, a niece, nephew, my husband, and our little girl.
