Dr. Sania Wilkins
Pediatrician
Board Certifications: American Board of Pediatrics
Residency: North Shore University Hospital (now merged Cohen Children Medical Center)

Q: What is your connection to our mission?
A: I began my interest in developmental pediatrics as a whole during my residency. I always felt that we did not get enough exposure to it. It should really be at the core of what we do as pediatricians. When I was presented with the opportunity to be involved in this mission, I was thrilled! I have a son with autism and I know the daily struggles as well as the struggle to get through this process. I feel passionate to advocate for other families going through this.
Q: Why do you love helping children?
A: How could you not! I love knowing that I am helping to keep kids healthy (both mentally and physically). Plus, I get to watch a lot of Disney movies for research!:-)
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: baking, singing, dancing, gardening
Q: What (or who) inspires you?
A: Professionally, one pediatrician that made being HUMAN his practice. He was intelligent, humorous, and HUMBLE. Personally, my grandmother and mother. Strong women that showed me I could do anything!
Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?
A: I am married with 2 children Gideon 13 and Jonah 10. We have 4 furry cat babies and a few more buddies outside too:-)
