Dr. Sandy Vethachalam is board-certified with over 7 years of experience treating children. She currently provides autism evaluations for children. She completed her graduate degree from the Madras Medical College and completed her residency at the BronxCare Health System in New York. Dr. Sandy Vethachalam is licensed to see families for autism evaluations in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Louisana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Vermont.

Q: What is your connection to our mission?

A: To help families have easy access to diagnose autism and help them in navigating the journey further.

Q: Why do you love helping children?

A: The ability to improve and influence a child’s health early on to ensure a healthy and happy life has drawn me to pediatrics.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: Cooking, spending time with my daughter, spinning, music, reading, podcasts

Q: What (or who) inspires you?

A: Trying to live a mindful life by taking care of self and community through meditation. I am inspired by all the people who are able to maintain calm and composure even in times of hardship.

Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?

A: My family consists of my daughter (3 years), my husband and my self. Not a pet-parent.
