Q: What is your connection to our mission?
A: Finding new and innovative ways to address the big health questions that are affecting our children everyday is what attracts me to medicine in general. As a general pediatrician I was seeing a lot of families wait in year long lists to be able to meet with someone who could help make a diagnosis of autism for their child. As You Are allows me to help families on their journey much faster in a novel and innovative way.
Q: Why do you love helping children?
A: The possibilities that come with helping a child are endless. You are just only a small part of what they can become in the future. I love their imagination, innocence and resilience. They inspire me to dream big, think outside of the box and enjoy life.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I enjoy playing sports (tennis, volleyball, swimming, yoga, aerial arts). I also enjoy crafting and spending time with my family and traveling. When the Olympics come around, I try out different sports to see if I can become an Olympian one day.
Q: What (or who) inspires you?
A: My parents inspire me as they came to this country with nothing but the desire to change our lives. They gave up their own dreams to allow their children to achieve the “American Dream”.
Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?
A: I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband and two young boys who keep me guessing everyday.
