Dr. Jason Winkler
Pediatrician
Dr. Jason Winkler, a seasoned board-certified pediatrician with almost a decade of experience, serves as a physician for As You Are offering autism evaluations for children. He earned his medical degree from Drexel University and completed his residency at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital at New York-Presbyterian Columbia. Dr. Jason Winkler is licensed and can see families for autism evaluations in Florida, New York and South Carolina.

Q: What is your connection to our mission?
A: I believe that every child deserves to have all the nourishment and support he or she needs to reach his or her full potential in life.
Q: Why do you love helping children?
A: As Whitney Houston famously sang: “I believe children are our future / Teach them and let them lead the way / Show them all the beauty they possess inside / Give them a sense of pride to make it easier / Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be.”
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I enjoy landscape photography, travel, and pickleball, but my favorite activity is running around with my 4 year old son.
Q: What (or who) inspires you?
A: My father is a pediatrician and I had the privilege of watching him work tirelessly to eradicate the burden of disease on children while forging great relationships with the families he cared for.
Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?
A: My wife and I are native New Yorkers who moved down to Charleston, South Carolina. We have two sons together. We have no pets, unless you count the alligator who lives in the pond down the block!
