Q: What is your connection to our mission?
A: Working in rural WV many of my patients did not have access to sub-specialty care. Children were waiting months or years for evaluation and care. As you Are is bridging that gap. They are making it possible for children and families to get the services they need.
Q: Why do you love helping children?
A: Caring for children allows me to be a part of so many families. I love sharing their joys and hearing stories of their adventures. It also allows me to be a little silly every day!
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Cooking, baking, travel, volleyball and fitness
Q: What (or who) inspires you?
A: I am inspired by kids everywhere. Growing up in today’s society they are fighting unimaginable battles. Gun violence, cyber-bullying and finding their place in this big world are only a few examples.
Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?
A: My husband and I live in Richmond, Va. I have 3 children ages 8, 12, 16. I also have 2 dogs.
