Dr. Jior Cameron
Pediatrician
Board Certifications: American Board of Pediatrics
Residency: Morehouse School of Medicine

Q: What is your connection to our mission?
A: I have always had an interest in behavior and development, especially Autism. In residency, I saw firsthand the long wait times some patients experienced when seeking out an evaluation for developmental concerns, and the subsequent delay some experienced in getting services secondary to this. Working with As You Are gives me the opportunity to become an integral part of this process, with the goal of streamlining and shortening the time from evaluation to diagnosis to treatment.
Q: Why do you love helping children?
A: I love helping children because children are resilient, funny, and a joy to both work with and be around! As a pediatrician, there is never a dull day at the clinic!
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I love sports (especially Seattle sports—MLB’s Mariners, NFL’s Seahawks etc), shopping, anything health and beauty, and my newest hobby—gardening!
Q: What (or who) inspires you?
A: My family inspires me. While we are all involved in various fields, they inspire me to always strive to do my best and be my best.
Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?
A: I have a big extended family and one pup—Dash L. Cameron. Dash is my energetic Husky mix. Dash keeps me on my toes every day as he is always on the go and only has one speed–FAST (hence his name)!
