COMPANY
As You Are is an exciting new company whose mission is to establish a world-class virtual clinic that dramatically increases access to early neurodevelopmental diagnostic services and care coordination. Through virtual medicine, our team of pediatricians with training in autism diagnostic evaluations will increase community access to expert opinion for caregivers searching for answers about their child’s social development or for primary care physicians who understand the importance of early ASD diagnosis, but are not equipped to diagnose ASD in the primary care setting.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking dedicated physicians to provide high-quality, patient and family-centered care in a virtual setting, with a particular focus on autism and other behavioral health and developmental disorders. The ideal Candidate will be passionate about improving pediatric health outcomes and enthusiastic about utilizing innovative diagnostic approaches through technology. 

JOB SCOPE
As You Are provides comprehensive autism and other behavioral health and developmental disorders evaluation services for children ages 16 months to 18 years old. In this role the Virtual Care Physician (Physician) will be responsible for providing diagnostic evaluations, within our As You Are virtual diagnostic clinic, for patients to inform treatment recommendations. Additional responsibilities include completing administrative tasks including documenting billing information, keeping accurate records of evaluations and associated patient notes and working collaboratively with other clinical staff and service providers at As You Are to provide high-quality care to patients.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide evidence-based autism diagnostic assessments through virtual medicine platforms following completion of required training.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive clinical reports depicting the results of the assessment for referring physicians, clinicians and patient families.
  • Provide high-quality clinical care, including accurate diagnoses.
  • Provide strategies for caregivers and providers to address identified needs.
  • Provide compassionate care and maintain good rapport with patient families.
  • Implement and provide feedback on innovative technology solutions to enhance clinical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with physician colleagues and engage in consultations as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development focused on our mission-driven objectives.
  • Guide families through therapeutic options with support staff and care coordinator assistance.
  • Participate in the training and development of the AYA team as needed.
  • Occasional on-site training as needed.
  • Other duties to be assigned as needed.
  • Maintain necessary state licensures and certifications.
  • Salary Range: $190,000 – $200,00

WORK ENVIORNMENTS AND HAZARDS
This position requires sitting for extended amounts of time with a majority of the tasks requiring typing at a computer station. This is a remote position. Remote employees will provide, at their expense, a secure, dedicated work area free from distraction and HIPAA compliant and are responsible for maintaining their work area in a safe, secure, and nonhazardous condition at all times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, so long as there is no undue hardship created upon the organization or other employees within the organization.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to speak, stand, talk, walk, sit, see, and hear (corrected or uncorrected). The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be physically able to manage students of varying weight and sizes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Board Certified MD or DO
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Current state medical license (minimum one state)
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday) or part-time (20 hours per week)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Virtual care experience
  • Spanish language fluency
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses (company assistance provided)
  • Enrollment with home-state Medicaid plan

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) from an APA-accredited program 
  • Current, unrestricted license as a Licensed Psychologist (LP) in at least one state 
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday)  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Virtual care experience
  • Spanish language fluency
  • APIT PsyPact certification and/or ASPPB E.Passport
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses (company assistance provided)
  • Enrollment with home-state Medicaid plan
