Dr. David Valero is a board-certified pediatrician with over 10 years of experience in general pediatrics and pediatric functional medicine. He conducts autism evaluations for children starting from 16 months at As You Are and creates functional medicine content for Functional Medicine Insider. Dr. Valero has previously cared for children at Esperanza Health Centers, Lincoln Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical College, and Montefiore Hospital in New York. He received his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota and further honed his skills through rigorous training at New York University and Columbia University in New York. Dr. Valero completed his residency at Lincoln/Weill Cornell School of Medicine and pursued a fellowship at the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine (AIHM). He is fluent in Spanish, which enhances his ability to serve diverse communities. I'm lucky enough to share my life with a fantastic little squad! There's my wonderful wife, our adorable 4-month-old daughter who has just started to discover the world with wide eyes, Peggy, our wise 12-year-old pug who loves to eat, and Mochi, our energetic 2-year-old mini-doodle who never runs out of enthusiasm. They all fill my days with laughter, love, and a bit of chaos!
