Q: What is your connection to our mission?
A: I have always been interested in autism even as a high school student. I volunteered as a camp counselor for autistic children for several summers. As a pediatrician who mostly works with the underserved population, I’ve noticed the delays in early intervention due to the lag in making a diagnosis. I believe that AYA offers an easy, accessible platform that will be helpful to families who need guidance.
Q: Why do you love helping children?
A: I love kids because they are so honest about the world we live in. I believe that you can make the biggest impact in their lives because kids are resilient and adaptable.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I enjoy hiking and being in nature. I like to dabble in photography, yoga, and reformer pilates.
Q: What (or who) inspires you?
A: My older sister inspires me as she seamlessly balances being a physician, a mom of 3 little ones, and a strong role model for our family.
Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?
A: I have a wonderful husband who is very silly and makes me laugh every day.
