Q: What is your connection to our mission?

A: I was drawn to work at As You Are because of their mission to advocate for children and to use their platform to improve access to care for so many families across the country. I also love the focus on creating a support system for the family through the process of navigating not only an autism diagnosis, but also receiving services afterwards which is so important.

Q: Why do you love helping children?

A: There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a child overcome obstacles and reach their goals. Also, kids keep me laughing and inspire me every day.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: Pilates has been a new hobby of mine that is both fun and relaxing. I also like to fulfill my creativity through painting, photography, decorating, and doing messy art projects with my kids.

Q: What (or who) inspires you?

A: My kids inspire me to be a better mom and physician every day. They give strength (and humor!) when I need it most.

Q: Tell us about your family. Any children? What about pets?

A: I have an amazing husband, 2 boys (ages 3 and 4), and a 15 year old Pomeranian named Lucy.  And I can’t forget our 2 new fish named Splish and Splash!
